A Poem from My Book “Ugly Heart”

‚ÄčI think like mountains

Yet I bow down to grains of sand

I vision my life to be like the river

But it roars like the stormy sea

I speak like a Queen

Yet I reside with flies

I walk like the lioness

But just yesterday I was bested by a mouse
Now, I am the sun when it eclipses

The clouds when they are sick

The sky when it’s grey

I am hail on a summer’s day
Finally, I am a mosquito dressed up to a bee

Saturate me with blood and set me free.
